We are a small new studio composed by two friends that love to play and make games, mainly action and cooperative ones.
We work under the motto "if it's not fun, why bother" quoted by Reggie Fils-Aimé, ex-president of Nintendo of America, and love to iterate and polish our work until we are proud of it.
We embrace our many limitations and avoid getting confined by our own ideas,
making use of any tool at our dispossal and finding inspiration from many places.
History
History
Andrés Leone and Miguel Ángel García started Nukefist in 2019 after more than 10 years learning how to make videogames, both self learning and through university. Over time knowledge and experience was piling up with the many scrapped projects they were making that gave them lots of experience. Eventually both of them finished university and soon thereafter, when the studio got its name, they decided to make a game with the features they wanted the most on it, called it Genokids, and went all out on developing it.
A Kickstarter release for Genokids (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/nukefist/genokids-cooperative-hackandslash) was scheduled for April 2020 but the COVID pandemic forced the studio out of their coworking space, postponing the Kickstarter to 13 October 2020.
Eventually the kickstarter ended as a failure, but we kept working on Genokids while simultaneously creating another game called Mika and the Witch's Mountain for studio Chibig since 2021.
A new Kickstarter release for Genokids (no public link yet) will be scheduled for April 2023.
